While landscape architecture aims to harmonize for nature, many of the people in the modern era are living in the midst of black asphalt and gray concrete buildings. Accordingly, it is important as giving a breath of life to the users by establishing spaces to ensure sufficient vitality in the cities by supplying green lives.
Landscape architecture is not simply the establishment of parts and nurturing greeneries. rather, it is aimed at the creation of unique spaces by planning and designing the land through connecting of liberal arts and scientific knowledge for the purpose of establishing environment in which people can live like people.
We strive to formulate spaces and sceneries with viewpoints that are somewhat different from those of general development projects where we strive to maximize the characteristic potentials of the subject land, to coevolve cities and nature, and to create venues to contain the life stories that have merged into them.
We have long been executing projects on ‘tourism landscaping and scenery for regions and district landscaping, parks and recreational sites through which visitors can experience and enjoy the leisure and rest in their daily lives.
On the basis of our aforementioned broad understanding, we create specialized green infrastructure through the work-community with differentiated theories and technologies necessary in establishment of environment for venues such as large scale recreational and tourism estates, development of national land and landscaping of the external aspects of buildings.

Sunrise city
“Chuam Theme Park for Love of Country” is a new paradigm for this theme park where education, experiences and tourism are harmonized. We aimed to establish the region of Chuam, is a renowned tourist destination for viewing of sunrise, as the background image of the first verse of the national anthem of Korea. The paradigm represents a differentiated and highly dignified theme and tourism estate for the love of country by utilizing the beautiful maritime tourism resources.
The estate was planned with the following 3 major destinations under the theme of ‘Sun rising city’ with the light of Eastern Sea, light of the future and the light of the love of country as the motives.
1) Creation of renowned tourist attraction
We conceptualized the venue for the cultivation of patriotism and pride by providing educational experience program associated with the national anthem of Korea. We also tried to introduce facilities and programs that demonstrate the characteristics of the 4 verses of the national anthem of Korea (observatory for sunrise, fine tree forest, moonlight café, Taegeuk (Yin-Yang) square, rose of Sharon hill).
2) Visiting the 4 seasons
Systematic and efficient use of the spaces was conceptualized through the planning of the facility program in accordance with the analysis of the facilities. By setting the destinations for the venue of a diverse festivals and events including the sunrise festival on the New Year’s Day, Chuam sculpture festival, etc., we have established 4-season programs that can be implemented a year round.
3) Walking the path
We put the foremost considerations for the securing of the safety of pedestrians by establishing the walking path plan that links the segregated land space due to the railroad into a single land space by secluding the walking paths for pedestrians from those of vehicles. We also established characteristic pedestrian roads (seashore decks, pedestrian observatory bridge, themed movement paths, etc.) by endowing themes to each of the movement paths by linking with the surrounding environments.
